DevCom alumnus speaks in anti-sexual harassment and anti-hazing seminarThe Department of Development Communication headed by Dr. Christina A. Gabrillo, the Development Communication Society, together with the University Student Services Office and DYDC-FM, organized on February 24, 2015 a seminar on Anti-Sexual Harassment and Anti-Hazing Awareness at the VSU Center for Continuing Education. It was participated in by college and high school students of the University. The seminar was also sponsored by CAFS-GAD and ASHO.

Kalayaan ATIN ITO Movement holds info drive in VSUThe volunteers from the Kalayaan ATIN ITO Movement visited on September 11, 2015 the Visayas State University and conducted an information drive on the issue of China’s illegal occupation of the Kalayaan Group (KIG) Municipality of Palawan at the 2nd Floor of the Center for Continuing Education. It was attended by the VSU Laboratory High School students and some faculty and staff of the University.

VSU-NSU sign MOA on development of food science and technology researchThe Naval State University (NSU), represented by its Officer-In-Charge, Dr. Minerva E. Sañosa, and the Visayas State University (VSU), represented by its President, Dr. Jose L. Bacusmo, entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the development of NSU’s Food Science and Technology Research. The MOA was signed on July 1, 2015 at the VSU Guesthouse in the presence of Dr. Ludito V. Ramirez, NSU’s Director for Research Services, and Dr. Julie D. Tan, Professor of PhilRootcrops.

VSU and ERECON-Japan ink MOU for joint cooperation in research projectsThe Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Visayas State University and the Institute of Environmental Rehabilitation and Conservation (ERECON) in Machida-shi, Tokyo, Japan was signed on August 3, 2015 at the VSU Guesthouse. The MOU was signed by VSU President Jose L. Bacusmo and ERECON President Machito Mihara to extend the cooperation and to promote mutual interest in relation to research project planning and implementation between the two parties.
